About Miss G

Ms. Kimberly Gallagher is the Creative Photography teacher at Lakeland Senior High School.

Ms. Gallagher completed student teaching at LHS as an undergraduate student in 2014 and she was ecstatic to return to Polk County in August 2017 to officially join the talented Visual Arts Department in educating Lakeland’s youth.  She additionally student taught at Southwest Middle School, and Auburndale High School during her years before earning her teacher certification.


She grew up and completed her own K-12 education in New Jersey.  She earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership & Policy from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Florida Southern College.

She has mastered several visual arts skills such as: wheel-thrown ceramics, hand-built sculptures, printmaking, drawing, graphic design, painting, art history – BUT BEST OF ALL, both digital and film photography!

Before moving back to Lakeland shhorsee had lived in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Dillon, Colorado, and Monroe, New Jersey.  Most importantly, Miss G has a Colorado pup named Jimbo and a kitten named Maizie that are her world.  She rides and trains horses outside of school and loves the outdoors!
